The Power of Thought And How To Influence Reality
Thoughts are things and thoughts, being things, do in fact have power. This is so because every thought is contributing to the life’s experience. You can create your own reality with the thoughts you choose to think.
The power of thought influences reality. Powerful thoughts create powerful states or situations which are both mental and physical. This power of thought can be used either for good or evil.
The whole world is the manifestation of our inner thoughts. The problems we confront, the situations we come across and the people we meet are all projections of our thoughts. In other words, our thoughts create our reality. Perceptions are our filters, filtering the experiences of our reality.
The perceived reality ultimately becomes manifested reality and we become what we think. Thoughts are extremely powerful. Whenever we perceive or harbor a thought, it is a process of creation that has been set into action. This indeed is reality.
The power of thought influences a person very much. A person can achieve, rise and conquer only by hauling up his thoughts. He can at the same time remain weak, miserable and abject by refusing to lift his thoughts.
There can be no progress or achievements without lifting the thoughts. A person’s success can be measured by the power of their thoughts. The higher you lift your thoughts the greater will be your success.
Your achievements and failures, weaknesses and strengths, purities and impurities are the direct result of your own thoughts. They are brought by yourself and not by any other person. Your happiness and sufferings are evolved from within your thoughts. This condition can be changed or altered through your thoughts alone. Your thoughts are what you are and if you continue to think the same thoughts you will remain as you are.
Intellectual achievements are the outcome of powerful thoughts. Such achievements are sometimes thought to be linked to ambition and vanity but they are not. They are the natural outcome of the arduous effort and the pure and unselfish thoughts.
Achievements of any kind are the crown of effort and the diadem of thoughts. With the help of purity, righteousness, selflessness and well directed thoughts a man ascends. By corruption, impurity and confusion of thoughts a man descends. This is reality.
Our destiny is in our thoughts. We can choose the direction to move by focusing our thoughts in that direction. It is not about being right and perfect from the start, but acquiring perfection over time.
And this process begins with our thoughts, which is the seed of our reality…

Chapter 1 [13:31m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadThe Power of Surrender
There are few things more maddening than running into obstacles and blockages while you’re working toward your goals!
You’ll be moving along nicely, feeling great about the progress you’re making, when all of a sudden – boom; you’re stuck. You’ve encountered an obstacle that you have no idea how to get around.
What you do next will often determine whether you achieve your goals or give up on them forever. Your first impulse will probably be to try to figure out a way to work through the obstacle or sidestep around it – or even force it to move out of your way.
But what if that doesn’t work? Does that mean your goals are toast? No!
Today you’re going to learn another powerful technique for dealing with obstacles: surrender.
You may think that surrendering to obstacles means that you’ll be giving up on your goals, but keep in mind that surrender is not the same thing as defeat.
When you surrender to obstacles, it means that you refuse to waste your energy fighting them. It means that instead of resisting and struggling, you’re going to step back and see the obstacle in a new light.
Here’s how to do it:
1) Step Back And Gain Some Emotional Distance
When most of us encounter obstacles, we tend to take them personally and draw conclusions about what they mean. We throw our hands up and declare that our goals are finished, we’re finished, and we’ve failed. Nothing could be further from the truth!
Instead of drawing conclusions about the obstacle you’re facing, step back and observe it. Why has it appeared in your life? What lessons can you learn from it? Is it possibly an opportunity to stretch yourself more than you’ve been willing to in the past?
2) Open To Your Creative Inspiration
Just asking those questions can get your creative inspiration flowing like crazy! When you detach from any need to push through the obstacle, you suddenly see that there are many other options available to you. During this time, be sure to jot down any insights and possibilities that may occur to you.
3) Give It Time
Even if you see some great possibilities for working through or around the obstacle, don’t take action on them right away. Give it a few days. Keep your distance, and you’ll probably notice that your fear and frustration will begin to dwindle. Before long you’ll feel stronger and more capable about moving forward again, at which time you can put some of your new ideas into motion.
When you enter into this process of surrender, don’t be surprised if the obstacle dissolves spontaneously on its own!
It happens frequently, simply because you’ve stopped trying to force things to happen and are instead willing to just go with the flow – which creates space for movement and progress to occur again.
Motivation And The Power of Momentum
Have you ever hesitated to take action and gotten stuck in a rut of inertia?
Most often when this happens, you’re waiting for some internal or external clue that tells you it’s okay to move forward. You’re waiting until you feel more confident, or until obstacles dissolve and your goals are easier to achieve.
The problem is, the longer you stay inactive, the harder it is to begin moving forward. So you wait; and wait; and wait some more!
The truth is – it will never get easier to move forward. Every moment that you hold back you are settling deeper into your comfort zones, and pushing out of them will be even more uncomfortable when you finally do it.
However, you’ll be pleased to learn about a little thing called MOMENTUM.
You see, when most people procrastinate and avoid taking action, they do so because it seems exceedingly difficult to move forward – and they mistakenly believe that it will ALWAYS be that difficult. Have you ever had the same perception?
What you need to know is this: the longer you work on taking consistent action toward your goals, you will build momentum and it will get easier and easier as you go along.
Eventually the actions you take will seem almost effortless. You’ll begin to enjoy your activities because you’ll feel more empowered and confident about taking action. Not to mention, all of the effort you’ve put in will be reaping great results by that time!
Are you ready to climb out of your rut of inertia today? If so, here is a simple 3 step process to help you begin taking action – and keep taking it!
1) Commit to the actions first. When many people set goals, they commit to achieving the end result, but they rarely commit to taking the actions that will get them there. Take a few minutes to jot down the specific action steps that will get you to your goal, and then make a solemn commitment to take them every day.
2) Baby steps, baby steps! Did you know that small, consistent steps toward a goal are often more effective than large, sporadic actions? Even tiny actions will begin to build momentum and bring you great results! Make it your sole mission to move forward consistently, despite feelings of fear, obstacles that pop up, or anything else that threatens to erode your confidence. Keep moving forward no matter what.
3) Don’t focus on results yet. Many a goal has been abandoned because people take an action, wait to see what the results are, and quit when they don’t see the results they expected. Don’t get so dependent upon the results that you allow them to determine your NEXT actions.
In other words, focus only on putting one foot in front of the other, even if you’re not yet seeing the results you want. If you quit, you’re guaranteed not to see results – but by persevering, you’ll make things happen eventually.
