The Law of Attraction And Prayer

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

The Law of Attraction is a theory commonly associated with New Thought and New Age philosophy. The Law of Attraction is not a new concept. Even Buddha said that ‘All that we are is the result of what we have thought.’

Again in the New Testament of the Bible, Jesus has said ‘It is done to you as you believe…’ This law hypothesizes that one should by no means dwell on the negative, as the metaphysical principle of life is embodied in the Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction says that all the images of the mind and the feelings are connected to thoughts which later manifest as reality. In other words, everything in our life has been attracted to us through our mind. The Law of Attraction is also known as the Law of Magnetism, the Power of Thought and Success Consciousness.

The Law of Attraction is the most powerful force and an important law in the Universe. The simplest definition for the Law of Attraction is ‘like attracts like.’ In other words, you get what you think. The Law of Attraction is also fun because we are always waiting and watching for our desires to manifest.

And this is what prayer is all about. In fact anything asked in prayer with a spirit of faith and belief is likely to be achieved. This is the Law of Attraction in action.

The Law of Attraction is a doubled-edged sword because it can bring either success or failure. But Prayer is a positive tool. Prayer gives the person what he asks. When you truly believe in prayer and meditation and ask for specific things, it will be given in response. It is a great tool that connects us to the Universe. The Universe gives a person more of what he is asking for.

The Law of Attraction is true for everyone. This Law is universal because it does not care who you are or what religious belief you subscribe to. It is as true and universal as the Law of Gravity.

In the book of Proverbs in the Bible, verse 7 of chapter 23 says, ‘As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.’ The writer goes one step further in this matter. It is commonly assumed that we think with our minds. But, according to this proverb it is from our hearts that we do our thinking and believing and not from our minds.

The Law of Attraction is not only positive thinking but also faith, confidence and conviction. Controlling the thought processes is the basic idea of many religious practices. In Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism the ultimate goal is focusing the thoughts towards spiritual ideals.

The Law of Attraction says that if a person focuses on positive things, they will attract good things into their life.  If they focus on negative things then they are likely to perpetuate difficulty.

This is the root of the Law. As human beings we like to focus our thoughts on good things. That is why we believe in prayers and miracles. The best way to pray effectively is to pray with an affirmative attitude. A powerful prayer is one of gratitude which again is positive thought. Thoughts and prayers are governed by the Law of Attraction.

To believe that everything works for our highest good, we need to trust in the Universal Law of Attraction and Prayer which works through us and uses our experiences to expand our consciousness. Let us therefore use the Law of Attraction and prayer to make the world a more joyful and loving place to live.

Your Health And The Law of Attraction

Friday, January 25th, 2008

Life and death are two sides of the same coin.  While we as humans have embraced life as a gift, we seem unable to accept death as a part of life.  While there is nothing wrong with living life to the fullest, we should learn to embrace death as well.  Death is not the end of our existence.

Even religions and cultures that believe in the after-life haven’t been able to remove the fear of death from the hearts of their people.  We all still want to live forever. The body that we carry around is mortal and is prone to various diseases and ailments.  What’s more, the amount of negative thoughts and feelings we generate throughout our life attracts such problems in our health.

The minute we fall sick, whether by cold or by heart attack, we fall into a depression. We slow down and begin hating life. Our anger and irritation increase and we pass it on to those around us.  Most of us ask the question “why me?”

The answer is that you asked for it. The pollution caused by us is causing our bodies many problems. Our carelessness and obstinacy is the reason for most of our ailments. Some of us smoke and drink and take drugs and when they have a body part which is not working we say “why me?”

It’s a pity that sometimes little kids and newborn babies have deadly and killer diseases.  This happens either because of our deeds or our thoughts. The world is filled with sick people. Everyone is taking some kind of medicine or other for their various ailments.  We never look after the health of our minds. Sickness and ill health always begin in our minds.

‘If I play in the water I will fall sick.’  This is what we think.  Instead, we must think ‘if I play in water I will have a nice time.’  Positive thinking followed by positive deeds will ensure good health and long life. Most of us are so stressed out in today’s world that we hardly ever smile.

Men and women are chasing money and in return are easily getting stressed out and having nervous breakdown. Most diseases have psychological origins. This where the Law of Attraction walks into our lives and tell us repeatedly to throw away the stress and have a hearty laugh. If you laugh, you will make some others laugh, some others smile and some others forget what they were stressed about. The power of one’s happiness and good health is such that it can drag the sickest people right out of their beds and take them back to good health and a happy life.

The mind is like a wild horse and has to be trained. Horses have to wear blinders to stay on course.  We too must wear mental blinders. They must block away all our tensions, worries, ailments, etc.  We must only focus on our good health and happy thoughts and move forward in life.

You will be sick only so long as you and others around you believe you are.  People travel from all corners of the world to meet various religious leaders for healing.  It is the belief of the religious leader that you are well which makes you forget your sickness and walk out healthy again.

It’s his positivism and good health which attracts you to forget the sickness and grab good health with both your hands.  Instead of placing that power in the hands of others, why not take control of it yourself?

The Law of Attraction In Our Hectic Modern World

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

When learning to use the Law of Attraction, you may find yourself asking, “When will I find the time to do all of this visualization stuff?”  “My life is busy; I don’t have enough hours in the day already!” or “The only free time I have is when I’m exhausted at the end of my day.

How can I drum up positive thoughts and emotions at this point in my day?”  Well, there is plenty of time in your life for the Law of Attraction already!  You just don’t realize it yet.

First and foremost, let’s clear the air about “visualization”.  Visualizing is imagining is daydreaming is imagining is visualizing.  They are all the same thing.  Your imagination, your ability to day dream, is one of the most powerful tools at your disposal!  The thing is, most of us day dream without realizing it, and we may daydream about negatives as much as positives.

Ever had one of these conversations with yourself on a long drive?  “I wish he would say something, then I’d say this!  Then he’d say that!  Then I’d be like, fine!  And then he’d…”  Come on, admit it, we all do it.

The real distinction being made here is that visualization is a conscious, intentional daydream with a premeditated purpose.  This is learning to use that powerful tool intentionally to manifest the reality around you that you truly want to live in.

As is, your wishy-washy, this-way-and-that thought processes and daydreaming already have a powerful effect on your reality, and those processes have been completely out of check!  Imagine how nice your life can be once you’re calling all the shots consciously?

Now, as for time, you actually have loads of free time!  You may not realize it, but there are many moments in your day when you are not really all that busy.  At least, not mentally busy.  When you bathe or shower, when you eat, when you rest, when you are walking or driving around, and even when you’re sitting on the John!   In all of these moments in your life, you can infuse a little bit of consciously-directed daydreaming to add energy to your desired manifestation.

This should be a fun process, never a chore.  You should enjoy this.  If you feel that you’re having to “daydream” about something that bores you, you haven’t chosen a true desire.

Daydreaming about something you want is as natural as natural gets.  It is pleasurable, stress-relieving, and at times intoxicating.  In fact, once you start daydreaming, sometimes the biggest problem you’ll face is a lack of desire to do anything else!

These focused visualizations, aka daydreams, will continue adding energy to your desire until it manifests in your physical reality.  This is the trick to using the Law of Attraction when your life is extremely busy and hectic.

You’ve got to learn to work it in here and there where you can.  Those small efforts will build into big rewards, so keep at it!

Speeding Up The Law of Attraction

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

When learning to use the Law of Attraction, it is inevitable that at some point you will begin wanting to accelerate the process.

Of course, the process will accelerate by itself.  Each time you successfully manifest your desire, you will gain a bit of faith in the process, and the next time that faith will bring about a faster result, further building your faith.  However, there are still a few things you can do to really kick your manifestations into high gear.  Let’s look at a few.

First of all, learning to really focus your attention is one of the most powerful ways to speed up the Law of Attraction.  First, you must try a simple meditation.  Sit in a quiet place, clear your mind as best as possible, and relax.  Now place your finger in the center of your forehead between your eyebrows.  Get a good feel for the spot on your head where your finger is touching.  Then remove your finger.

Now place your attention in the same spot on your forehead you were touching before.  Keep your attention there.  You will notice that the better you get at this simple tactile focus, the quieter and clearer your mind will become.

This is a practice that will allow you to learn single focus, or the art of narrowing your mental concentration onto a single point.  When your focus is on a single point, there is a lot of energy put into that point.  If you learn to direct that focus into your visualizations, you will find your desires manifesting much quicker.

Another trick you can use to accelerate your manifestations is to use wasted time during your day to add a little energy to your desire.  If you commute to work, you are probably driving brain dead almost every day.  You get to work or get home generally with a hazy memory of making the trip.

You’re on autopilot.  While eating lunch or dinner your mind is probably wandering all over the place.  While walking to or from your car, or standing around smoking, you are probably just chattering away mentally without any real direction.

Take control of that time!  You don’t have to do any fancy visualizing, but just daydream for a moment about having what you desire.  These little spurts of energy added throughout your day will really add up.

It’s like having an extra dollar fall into your pocket once every couple of hours.  It seems trivial each time it happens, but if you stick them away somewhere they’ll begin adding up fast.

Give these two tricks a try.  They will shorten the amount of time needed to manifest your desires.  Use them to supplement your regular visualization regimen.  And always remember, have fun when you do it, or don’t do it at all!

The Law of Attraction Is It Not Working For You?

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

Are you trying to learn the Law of Attraction, but having results that aren’t consistent with your hopes or expectations?  You’re not alone.  Many people start off excited about the Law of Attraction, manage to manifest nothing at all, and give up.

But don’t worry, there is still hope!  Let’s take a look at some ways that you can tweak your attraction work to begin producing results.

When The Secret hit Oprah last year, the public finally became aware of the astounding Law of Attraction, which had previously been confined to a few books sitting in the New Age section at your local book store.

However, after watching the movie once, many people forget the most important part of working with this powerful law.  Thoughts alone do not manifest, or do not manifest easily or quickly.  What really brings about manifestation of your desires is the emotional energy that your thoughts generate!  In fact, the speed of manifestation is very much dependent upon the intensity of emotional energy you build into your manifesting sessions.

It’s not enough to simply go through the motions.  In fact, if you are treating visualization exercises as a chore, then don’t do them.  You are wasting your time, because you are approaching the exercises in such a way as to render them completely useless.  Visualization should be fun, uplifting, and exciting!  If not, you aren’t doing it right.

Another important thing to look out for is negative thinking outside of your manifestation sessions.  If you spend 20 minutes of your day building positive energy towards a desire, then spend the next 12 hours doubting that your desire will manifest, you can imagine that it probably won’t manifest.

Why even bother with the exercise if that is the case?  Positive thoughts/emotions are stronger than negative, but if you outweigh the positive ten times over, then they will still lose the battle.

Learn to focus on your desire in a way that is exciting and fun.  Always visualize your desire as existing in the present, and include yourself in the picture.  See yourself flying in your private jet, schmoozing with celebrities, or watching check after check come in the mail for your product.

This sends out a powerful intention of success to the universe, which will build into a manifestation so long as you get out of your own way and watch for when the universe delivers your desire to you.  Take a chance and try trusting in the process.

Each evening you should work on your visualization exercises.  Set aside some time to be alone, and find a place where you can relax without being bothered.  Turn off the phone, make your spouse watch the kids, and mute the television.  Now imagine and daydream and visualize away about having that which you most want.

Allow yourself to be swept away in the moment, and experience the emotions that present themselves.  When you begin to tire of this, stop and go back to your regular routine.  If doubts start entering your mind, just choose to think about something else.

Once the seed is planted, your desire it on its way.  Remain alert and wait for the universe to manifest it for you.  Repeat your exercises each night for a week or two.  Stop worrying about whether or not it will manifest or about when it will manifest.

As soon as you stop worrying, it will come…

Good luck!
